Ingredients:
½ cup Butter
1 cup Sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. Vanilla extract
½ cup Sour cream
2 2/3 cups Flour
1 tsp. Baking powder
½ tsp. Baking soda
½ tsp. Salt
***Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy; about 3 minutes. Add egg and vanilla and mix well. Add baking powder, soda and salt, mix well. Alternate adding flour and sour cream until well blended. Wrap dough in wax paper and refrigerate for 2 hours.
Sprinkle work surface with powdered sugar, and roll out dough to 1/4-inch thick. Cut into desired shape using cookie cutters. Place cookies on baking sheet greased with butter or parchment paper. Bake 8- 10 minutes. Do not allow cookies to brown. Let sit on baking sheet for 2 minutes and then move to a cooling rack.
Glossy Frosting:
1/4 c. butter or margarine
4 c. pwd. sugar
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
1-2 tsp milk
dash salt
***1 capful almond flavoring
Beat together. Color as desired.

Those look so yummy! Did you get the recipe from Studio 5? I got a frosting recipe from that show and it looks just like the one you have.

I'm so glad that you didn't frost those cookies! I was feeling bad that the ones I made didn't look so pretty! Jyl and I decided that the 3 of us need to get together for a cookie party...you can make them and we will eat them!
Chad is just training to get in better shape. His goal is to do a bike race in the Uintas this summer. He's been doing pretty good!
