Easter

We had a wonderful Easter!
We had an amazing Easter Brunch with my family & Max got to hunt for eggs all around the house! He was really into it & it was so cute to watch him.
He just LOVES going to Grandpa & Grandma's house! He gets to play with new toys & best of all he gets to play "doodly-do" with Grandma :)
Brunch was so amazing, I had to post the pics & recipes:

HASH BROWN QUICHE
3 cups shredded hash browns
1/4 cup butter, melted
seasoning salt to taste
1 cup diced cooked ham (or sausage)
1/4 cup chopped saute'd onions
2 cup shredded cheddar
8 eggs
1/2 cup milk
salt and pepper to taste

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
2. Press hash browns onto the bottom and sides of a 9 inch pie dish. Drizzle with melted butter, and sprinkle with seasoning salt. Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until beginning to brown. 3. In a small bowl, combine ham, onion and shredded cheese. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and a little seasoning salt. When crust is ready, spread ham mixture on the bottom, then cover with egg mixture.
4. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C.) Bake in preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until filling is puffed and golden brown.
BAKED FRENCH TOAST
1 1/2 stick of butter
1 cup of brown sugar
1 dozen eggs
1 1/2 cup of half and half
1 loaf of cinnamon bread
1/2 cup honey
2 teaspoons of vanilla

1. In a sauce pan melt butter, honey, brown sugar. Bring to a boil. Pour into a 9 x 13 greased pan. Cube cinnamon bread and place on to top of mixture. Do not pat down bread cubes keep loose.
Mix together eggs, vanilla, half and half, pour over bread cubes. Cover pan put in refrigerator overnight. 2. In morning preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place pan in oven and bake for 0ne hour. When finish baking cut into 12 servings. When you serve turn upside down so the melted mixture will run over the baked cinnamon cubes.

DEVILED EGGS
6 hard-cooked eggs, peeled and cut lengthwise, ¼ cup Light Mayo, 1/2 tsp. dry ground mustard
½ tsp. white vinegar, 1/8 tsp. salt, ¼ tsp. ground black pepper and Paprika for garnish. Pop out the egg yolks into a small bowl and mash with a fork. Add mayonnaise, mustard powder, vinegar, salt and pepper and mix thoroughly. Fill the empty egg white shells with the mixture and sprinkle lightly with paprika. Homemade Peanut Butter Eggs!

Easter Morning

Well the Easter Bunny found his way to our house...Max was sooo excited when he woke up and saw his Easter basket!Max's first pair of cowboy boots :){What a stud!}

Easter Bunny & Coloring Eggs

Saturday afternoon Dave and I thought it would be fun to take Max to see the Easter Bunny.
However, it didn't turn out to be as fun for Max as we had hoped. He was pretty afraid!
How could we blame him? When you think about it, it must be totally creepy from a little kid's point-of-view...an enormous furry bunny with a huge frozen grin...poor Max! The only good thing about the trip to see the Bunny was getting a balloon :)And as soon as the Bunny was out of view everything was all better :)EASTER EGG COLORING TIME!Max was a great little helper :)
