McGarvey Family Christmas Party

Saturday Dec. 19th was the annual
McGarvey Family Christmas Party.
We had so much fun!
We had a really yummy dinner followed by an "Amazing Race" Christmas game, the Nativity, a musical present game and last a white elephant exchange game.
I love getting together with my family!
(I wasn't able to get too many pictures, but I did get a picture of the Nativity and of Max eating a cup...)

CHRISTMAS is getting CLOSER!

I have this Christmas snowglobe that Max LOVES!Of course he tries to EAT it!!!

SCARY CLAUS

Max didn't know quite what to think of Jolly Old St. Nick....I don't think he liked it very much!
He liked RUDOLPH!
He couldn't stop staring at him!

Happy 2nd Birthday Brilee!

Brilee's 2nd Birthday Party!

Brilee & Max

Max's cousin Brilee is in town for Christmas!
They love eachother and they are so cute together :)
We went to the Build A Bear in the Layton Hills Mall for Brilee's 2nd birthday.
The kids had fun on the toys outside the store.

Max is 8 mo. old!

Our Max is the SWEETEST little boy in the world! He has such a fun and cute personality. It is such a blessing to be his mother! He is so smart and he amazes me everyday. I am so grateful that I can now stay at home with him. It's so fun to watch him grow.
Max is such a happy baby! He's even happy when he wakes up from his naps :)
Sometimes I'll hear him playing his little piano or with other toys so I'll peek in to see him smiling and jabbering away with his toys! When he see's me peeking through the door he'll stand up and hang on to his crib and patiently wait for me to pick him up...
It doesn't take much to entertain Max. He is obsessed with the vents in our house. He'll just sit in front of them and run his fingers over them over and over. When he's tired of one vent, he'll move on to the next!
My hair brush is one of Max's favorite toys...lol!SNUGGLY BEAR :) Max LOVES bathtime! When he hears the tub filling up with water he knows that it's bathtime! He'll splash around in the tub all day if I let him. He really hates getting out so I've learned that if I let him sit in the bath while the water drains out of the tub he'll watch the water drain and then when the tub is empty he'll look up at me like "Okay Mom, now I can get out".UTAH vs. BYU party at my parents.

Max is a great eater!
His favorites: sweet potatoes, carrots, green beans, bananas, applesauce & pears.

Thanksgiving 2009

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving 2009!
My parents hosted my Mom's family this year.
Grandma McGarvey was there along with Grandpa & Grandma Sellers, Uncle Matt & Aunt Becky and their 4 daughters and Uncle Bart & Aunt Lori and their 4 boys and of course Mom, Dad, Chaz, Dave, Max and I. We sure did feel Parker's void and missed him terribly!
The feast was great & the company was even better! It's so fun to get together with family that you don't get to see very often.
I love this time of year when I get to reflect on all of the blessings I have in my life.
I certainly have so much to be thankful for!!!
{Max playing with his Grandma's tupperware :)}{We slept over the night before to help my mom bake...here is Dave sneaking some treats!}

MAUI 2009

As an early Christmas gift my parents flew Dave & I to Maui for a week!
We had the time of our lives!!!
It was so nice to getaway~just the two of us!
Maui was absolute PARADISE and we had the most perfect vacation ever :)
We relaxed and soaked up the sun on the most beautiful beaches in the world!
We had so much fun snorkeling and we were even lucky enough to see sea turtles, reef sharks and 1,000's of exotic fish! One afternoon we took a boat ride out to a volcano crater called Molokini to snorkel. It felt crazy to be out in the middle of the ocean swimming!
We drove all over the island and did a lot of sight seeing which was really fun.
The restaurants were fabulous and the seafood was amazing! One of our favorite nights was when we ate dinner at a place called Mama's Fish House in Paia. We ate right on the beach and the scenery was breathtaking!
We are already saving our pennies so that we can go again ASAP!!!
Thanks so much Mom & Dad for the tickets :)
